Shamed
Her eyes turn away,
she can't look into his face.
Once lovers,
now she is so ashamed.
She sold herself
just so she could live.
But found her soul
desired more within.
Tears stream down her face.
She tries to wipe them away.
She turns to the sun,
trying to hide her disgrace.
Her heart pleads hold me,
her mind yells no.
Her soul desires touch,
but she can't admit these things.
So she walks away,
now anger in her face.
She leaves him where she was.
In his own place.
Note: This is a poem I wrote a while ago. I decided I want to add a few of my
older poems on here.
