Shadows, My Shelter

Shadows, my shelter© Theresa Rossouw Can I hide in the shadows she whispered? He looked down and stretched out his arms, spreading his wings. She crept under the feathers, her tear streaked face, snuggling the softness, her emotions in teathers. As his wings close, the cracks in her soul; the hole in her heart, her shattered spirit are illuminated by the light. She sobs again as memories flood and take flight. He closes his wings, she is hidden. Silence falls, her enemies attacks, forbidden. Her tears are gone, she hurts no more. The shadows have cowered and light enters, the darkenss with light showered…... Finally, finally she is out of reach!
