Shadows

Darkness, the beautiful shroud midnight blue, blurring past the petty day, calls with the slow sweet voice, cutting my skin making me bleed out. Darkness, my serenity calls from all she is, sleep is her realm Night is her comfort I delve into her waters dark, cool, calm... The caressing splash, first kisses my lips, scratches my back, and holds my hand. Shadows, my safety, holds my hand with an utter calm, ice cuts my skin, again I fall to my knees, spitting up blood, her smile it makes me stand, her kiss, stops my bleeding, her hug, killing my pain. Shadows, call my heart and tug softly, stab my skin, kiss my cheek, pull me along toward where you want to go.
