Shadows
Shadows
Shadows cross, blinding vision
Questions life, mocking wisdom
Simple tales extend beyond
Truth be told, lies live on.
Taste the fear, regurgitate bile
Twisted story, forced to smile.
Tainted heart, twist of fate
Then the tale, “It’s never too late.”
Shadows pass, vision trails
The lie gives comfort where truth fails.
It’s not about give and take,
Right or wrong or what’s at stake.
Truth be told, the lie lives on
Until the love is all but gone
Test the soul, touch belief
Rest your anger, breath in deep
