Shadows

These shadows follow me where ever I go Who do they belong to? Where are they going? Where am I going? With my fear my pace quickens I have lost my way and the shadows are gaining on me looming down on me, They are close now, I can sense their definite presence and I can’t run fast enough away. I'm running so fast, my throat is dry, my chest is burning, my heart is racing, but I don’t stop. I look over my shoulder, there they are, I'm sure they were further away before? I can’t run any faster or further, I’m losing this race... I trip and crumple to the ground admitting defeat and accepting my fate. The shadows loom over my boken body and swallow my shaking soul. It is only now as they are devouring my memories that I realize who they belong to. They are all my worries in my world. And you are there, the biggest and darkest of them all, You are the heavy weight that was left on my heart the day you walked out of my life. So here I am, Lying on the ground, Crying in defeat as the shadows feast on my life...
