Seven Years

Seven years ago a heart of pure gold stopped beating; tender, hardworking hands were laid to rest. Seven years ago, a young girls super hero was taken to heaven to watch over her from above. A little girls heart shattered, she wondered; who would kiss away the pain and chase the monsters from under her bed now that he's gone? Seven years ago, a great man went to be with his maker, to the sky above he left. Seven years later, I sit here still missing you, dad. Not one day goes by that you don't cross my mind. Every now and then I find a tear rolling down my cheek with the thought of your absence
