Set Me Free

Set Me Free Some say I was playing the part Of a fool who had a broken heart And then last time with only me She wanted to try and set me free. Finally was free as a bird at last And forgot about all of the past Another song soon started singing Whole house down was bringing. Surely so popular I had become When they heard me sing and strum Was given great big, huge contract When they again brought me back. Took off hat and saw my silver dome Hat man you had better go home You sort of kind of look real nervous Waiting for your own funeral service. James Thomas Horn, Retired Veteran

Ed, I was just down at the Senior Center and a bunch of old fogies like me were playing there. I was supposed to read some of my poems but never had a chance to. So I wrote these last five poems instead while I was listening to them. Jim
