Set Me Free
~*~
A million silent whispers into the night
Sad helpless children with no light
Come take my life from me
Set me free...
The nightmare goes on
Fueled by jealousy, now im gone
On the whispers of forgotten dreams
Awakened from dormant memories
Set me free...
Stupid men and their sick, stupid minds
Remarks that cut and hands that bind
Lost, left slipping on the edge of fate
Bloody and bruised knuckles just trying for dear life to hang on
Constantly we deny our own existence
Set me free..
Letting the past consume us, as we dwell on hate
Love all but gone from this world
Misery left in its wake
Foiled, manipulated and confused
Set me free..
Mindless fools left paused as life carries on
A puppet draped with tangled strings
Doing what's expected not what we want
So many dreams left splintered as fragments of life pass us by
Set me free..
Forever clouded, lost in the smoke from bridges we have burnt
Do we turn a blind eye as the world screams for help
Muffled by societies pillow
Do we turn away..ignorant and wait till its left laying limp
Lifeless on the floor
Our world no more..
Set me free..
