Serendipitous Blues

An open eye is why I see, and I think about the trues;
but this open eye, close I try …
Serendipitous Blues.
My thoughts do race to make a case and find all the clues;
but I did the chase and found the face …
Serendipitous Blues.
This image burned from what I learned, and I can’t stop the muse;
but now it’s yearned for what once was, returned …
Serendipitous Blues.
For who would dictate this path so straight, so I cannot choose;
and make me irate with this fate …
Serendipitous Blues.
In a world of vanity to become this sanity is nothing but a ruse;
and yet this clarity has no parity …
Serendipitous Blues.
Serendipitous Blues …

Some times you just look up and see. Like Bob Seger says, "wish I don't know now what I didn't know then." Understanding can be both a blessing and a curse. Well said! I love it!
