September Smile

Here in the Sun, Spring is receding Winter is born in me Your witchcraft besets me The cold glazes my eyes The green glares white The clouds are cemented There we are again Longing for the equinox of our intentions Pull me forward from this Push me back into us Divide me from this discontent Shake this frost Warm my bones with a September smile
