The closeness we once had
was a light shining in the dark.
Storm clouds came
and shielded the sun.

The seeds atrophied
and the sprouts withered.
What was once a rainbow
became a black and white
single brush stroke
against a pale sky.

Well written Alan! Oh, the depth of that single brush stroke!

I hear you talking, Allen. When the black and white moves into the act everything changes and things don's always mean what they used to.

Allan i notice the difference when i saw your name and his philosophy on reincarnation. Yes i studied world religion. And i think that i have a handle on your religion more than i do his.

Short and to the point. But vivid.

Stunning write! Masterful way of taking an abstract feeling and describing it with concrete images.

"Storm clouds came and shielded the sun's growth"...that line says so much. Awesome expression of love's separation.
