Separate Worlds
When the fire of Autumn fills limbs of trees,
And its light covering frost comes around.
I remember that summer's wet leaves,
With your fading footprints in its soft ground.
Distant season, colored forever blue.
A faint memory of love to remain.
Caused by a lasting silhouette of you,
Disappearing in the falling rain.
A birthright below, a love to lament,
Paused by a dream of your eyes I still hold.
Reliving the times when bodies were spent.
When the bond from a kiss crossed a threshold.
She loved a boy from a commonplace.
She said goodbye with a tender embrace.
