Separate Ways
( SEPARATE WAYS )
Things just didnt work out, we werent meant to be together.
What once was in both of our hearts, we had to let it sever.
She`d love to go to the opera, he`d like to boat and fish.
When it came to each other, they never had the same ole dish.
The I love you`s came less frequent, the passion lost its spark.
The light they both had together, had slowly went quite dark.
Kisses werent on the lips, and their hands didnt clutch.
The feelings that made the tingles, was gone when they would touch.
The respect they had had took its course, the flame had burned out.
The kind words that both would speak, had turned into a shout.
Romance lost its roll in them, trust was out the door.
When either of them tried for less, they only wanted more.
They couldnt stand each other, they had to call it quits.
Both of them was acting a fool, throwing all kinds of fits.
The fights would seem forever, the yelling would be for days.
The only logical conclusion they had, was going separate ways.
