Sentinels

Piney woods, perfume the forests; sweet scents waft upon the air. Great oaks share their strength; Popular poplars whisper lost secrets. In the great kingdom of trees, generosity is paramount.

Shades of Jonathan Swift. In Gulliver's Travels he suggests that horses were a more noble life than humans. I'm not suggesting that this speaks of a world of trees but maybe we humans still have much to learn from nature. Another excellent write!
