Sentimental

Sometimes when I get sentimental, I close my eyes and remember that moment when I first saw you. Awkward silence and silly banter that almost seemed as innocent as a playground crush. Such electricity when we first touched, The hungry look you gave me when you leaned in for that first kiss. The softness of your lips on mine, Both gentle and hungry for more, yet so patient. A subtle dance to prolong the moment, willing the intoxication to last Intense eyes boring into my soul, Consuming all of me with a hunger far deeper than lust. Perfectly measured, as if carved out of time for one another, we fell into rhythm. Left void of all reason, changed forever, I lay in the protective embrace of your arms. One night frozen in time; one flawless memory of a connection wrought by fate. Sometimes when I get sentimental, I close my eyes and remember that moment when I first saw you
