Selfish Drivers

Selfish drivers crowd the roads And disregard the rules As if the highway signs are there For idiots or fools. They ride the exit lanes although That isn’t in their plan And nose into a non-existent space Because they can. Of course, they drive the biggest cars To bully those who don’t. Intimidation works in times When courtesy just won’t. It’s never fun in traffic When conditions are adverse But selfish drivers make The situation even worse.

Nicely written, as always. Your writing helps others, Ilene, including me. Always a pleasure to read you. / M
