Seeking the Sought

My missing gloves turned up today (Good thing – I was distraught) Inside the pockets of a jacket I forgot I bought. The lesson of this incident Is that we really ought To leave no stone unturned Until we find what we have sought. A search that’s merely cursory Will yield, as wisdom’s taught, A disappointing outcome, All your efforts come to naught. But diligence will show results That laziness has fought, So “seek and ye shall find” remains A wise and prescient thought.

Very true as your last line says. But I'm no always patient with things lost (and now that I'm up in years I lose quite lot of things, including my memory). So rather than spend hours or even days looking for lost items, I but a new one. Except for my memory, I don't lose anything really valuable. Thanks for your support. / M

Good advice Ilene. My husband is a gardener and deals mostly in cash. A year after he left, I found 200 euro behind a drawer he used to keep it in.
