Seeking a Haven

Cloudy sky hovers with thick humidity Finches and jays are seeking a haven Against the summer weather’s perfidy Seems the sun threatens ever fervidly While the small critters scrounge avidly Heat provoking them to be more craven A cloudy sky hovers over thick humidity Finches and jays are seeking a haven.

It is so hot here, I am staying inside myself. I think many of us are seeking a haven this week away from the heat

This is your hippy-dippy weather man. It seems to have eased a bit here and this week we should be in the mid-eighties with rain on and off. Not so hot as the past two weeks.

I always found the humidity in Florida quite uncomfortable, you'd leave the hotel all fresh after your shower and after an hour your clothes would feel soggy, I'm not built for the heat, lol. Tom

I don't mind the heat, but the humidity is oppressive for me. I love Florida in the winter months, not July and August, to be sure.

We are all looking for a cooler place to bring us healing comfort from Mother Natures torment. It was nice of you to remember our animals and the effect the weather was having on them also Milton. We always have narrow vision on us only and not the other victims enduring this heat wave, I am sure if they knew you had their best interest they would thank you too. Keep cool and have another glass of that fine Ice tea, and put a bird bath with cool water in your back yard, for the lovely birds, I

Aw, thank so much, Michael. It is always good to hear when something you wrote provokes action or makes a difference in someone's way of thinking. I really appreciate your comments on my poetry.

am after reading this humanitarian write on our treasured animals, you inspired me to do so and consider them in this heat wave. Judy and I are searching for a bird bath first thing in the morning. Thank you for posting, one man does make a difference you did today Milton...

The weather can make it hard on the creature and on man. I enjoyed your poem, Milt. Have a great week my friend. Bill

Thanks, Marco. We're having oppressively hot weather here, while I suppose you are sitting by fireplaces, away from the cold?

All creatures are seeking refuge from the heat and humidity lately. Morning rain cooled things off for a while, but now that the sun is out, the humidity is smothering. A very well-written Triolet.
