See You

You say you're hardebed, that you have been hurt. You've been toiled around, your heart dragged in dirt. You tell me your emotions are out of control and don't love. You can't stand company, loneliness is your drug. You've said your smile is pretentious, you're soul is dark. You've accepted fate, and acclimated to your part. But I say you need to listen. When you speak a softness caresses my earlobes. The way you walk is as if your soul only floats. There's a beauty in your heart that makes mine beat. So I know your love is strong and doesn't know defeat. I will always be here with you in way you desire. As your friend and protector, putting out the fire. I see with my heart, and I know these things are true. You say you don't know what I see... I see you.
