See Me Now
See Me Now
I once had a wife and a home,
Now I am in a cell all alone.
Thinking of ways I shouldn't take blame,
And defying reality from all shame.
I once held a reliable position,
Had keys, even made a transition.
But if you see me now I am nothing,
All because I played with life's blessing.
I once owned a fancy car of pleasure,
Now all I own is a cell that measures.
Eight by eight by a high sixteen,
Reminding myself that my life was a dream.
But still their is something I do own,
And that's pride for its shown.
That patience loves to wait,
For time is its only date.
