Sedoka

Hush me forever when sea winds light the ember as your eyes bid a goodbye on a tidal pool drained by lashed rain of the sky--- and yet, I still drool. If we meet somewhere these my glances will not dare look beyond your shade even if flowers blossom near, far to invade the darkness of lone hours Contest No 222, Brian Strand

Manny thanks for what you said at my Jenny poem. She is my best poetry supporter and often visits my poems. I am waiting for when she finally sees the one I wrote about her!!

this is really lovely, Manny. Yes, I was thinking it was for the contest but noticing inconsistencies for the syllable count they asked for, etc. However, as a poem on its own merits (not following sedoka rules) it is fantastic! (loved the lashed rain line!)
