inspired by Deb Wilson's comment Ty Deb  x smiles Shadow
As the year marches relentlessly on things around us quickly change I love the start of each season A gift given to us all to enjoy As I drive along in spring its the promise of rebirth all around are signs of new life nests being built buds opening Summer soon follows suit bright fresh leaves adorn the trees colourful flowers dip and bend swaying gently in the breeze Autumn so fruitful crops ready harvest the spoils and store safe ready for pickling and jams earth's bounties freely shared Ah most magical of all at Start the icy fingers of winter reach out hoar frost abounds on the trees fresh trails in the virgin snows If asked I would have to say for different reasons I love the start of each and every one always glad to see winter's end

Of all the seasons winter is the most favorite to see end, though I don't mind winter as long as we don't get an absurd amount of snow, and especially not get much ice! I hate it when we have ice, as that is so dangerous! I really loved reading your amazing poem this morning! You have delighted me by the four seasons, a melody of sorts, very peaceful and calming! What a tremendous piece, Great Work!!

I enjoyed this, Shadow. :D I was never much of a winter girl myself, but my four year old daughter is a snow-bunny! She loves snowmen, tobogganing and just watching the snow... so, I am 'almost' a convert. I'm so glad you enjoyed my sonnet for your last contest, and I'm pink-cheeked at my high placement... thanks so very much! I have yet to close my contest.. hope to do it Monday (we are packing, here, for a move to a small town close-by) Life <---hectic, harried and yet wonderful. Hugs Cyndi
