I loved the way you had the tree plucked from frozen hills and then the change in the last line to it joyful with lights in a warm house. And the scents added to the whole picture. Congrats on your third place!

It’s a Gem you have created here. The pleasing scent of Pine branch definitely brings not only the Christmas tree, but pleasures and memories of this great festival also. The pleasures of this lovely time perhaps cannot be imagined without this lovely smell, which is flowing in your lovely poem my friend. Love and best wishes always......Ravindra....Carolyn Devonshire

There's something special about a Christmas Tree in the corner of the living room all lit up. Lovely Haiku Carolyn, and good luck in Andrea's contest >> James

Great Haiku! Loved how you brought in the christmas pine scents, among with that prickly touch whilst watching the candles warmly in our homes, opposed with the frozen countryside... Bravo so much in very few words! Seasons greetings to one and all!
