Season of Joy
Chilling cold of winter is here
Reminding that Christmas is near
With snowfalls down the street,
Nature has spread the carpet
To greet the season of joy.
Candles glow gold,
And stars shimmer bright
Over the roofs, throughout the nights,
Showing the way of light
In the days of advent.
Balls and bells adorn trees,
Colours of red and green across
Give delight to the eyes.
While gifts bring surprise,
Carols please the ears
And Santa by his dance steps
Add fun to the celebration.
As kids adore the cribs,
Aroma of cake and wine
Arouse the taste buds
And men wait for cheers.
Fireworks sparkle in the sky
Church bells ring in the midnight
And Saviour is reborn in our hearts.
