Searching
I look outside my window
you're sitting in the tree,
hopping from branch to branch
chirping so very happily.
I catch a quick glimpse
your bright red feathers stand out,
I run to get my camera
it'll be a good picture, do doubt.
I snap the picture quickly
then you flew away,
I heard your echoing chirp
I was a little dismayed.
I checked the photo I took
the background was too bright,
I was a tad bit upset
wanted it to turn out just right.
I could still hear you chirping
opened my living room window,
to hear where your chirp was coming from
I'm glad the wind didn't blow.
I went out to the back yard
was searching with my eyes,
could hear you chirping loudly
over my head, other birds did fly.
I thought I saw you
sitting amongst many trees,
I know what you're trying to do
you're trying to hide away from me.
I had finally found you
zoomed in to take a pic,
you moved suddenly to another tree
you took off rather quick.
My eyes kept searching
I found you once again,
sitting in a different tree
snapped the picture quickly my friend.
