Searching

My hands grasp the handle, departure time is near Thought this was a love that could be sincere I embark on a journey hoping to discover emotional stability Leaving behind those who couldn't handle such a responsibility I'm lost and not a trail in sight to help me find my way Momma always told me " son look out for this day" Thought I was home till pain invaded my fortress Now I have to pick of the broken pieces inside my chest All this time I wondered what was I here for Gather enough emotional strength to open another door Maybe the breeze can lead me to my preferred destination Hopefully that place can be my new found salvation And wipe the drops of liquid falling below my eyes And as they leave my happiness shall rise Maybe lift me up so that I have to no longer roam And hopefully find a place my heart can call home
