Sea of Loneliness
Sea of Loneliness
Upon the sea of loneliness I once rode.
The burden of sorrows I have towed.
Waves crashed upon me so fierce.
Through my heart the cold winds pierced.
Heavy rains tore through my sails.
On this journey I swore I would not fail.
Surrounded by darkened clouds,
My silent voice became so loud.
Thunder boomed all around,
But my heartbeat became the only sound.
Lightening ripped through the black night.
For my damaged soul I began to fight.
Through the waves and heavy rain I fought.
Praying that serenity would be brought.
Through the winds and torrid thunder I did last.
Leaving behind a painful past.
Through the lightening I did ride.
A day at a time I have survived.
Upon the sea of loneliness I once rode.
Now peace and love is what my heart holds.
