We build with the illusion of permanence. It’s sad to see when they are eventually destroyed. It is interesting to go to ruins and imagine what life was once like for other people.

You can see every day on a beach that one child loves to build sand castles whilst another prefers to destroy them, a perfect example of why civilisation requires teachers - and poets! Aloha! Rico

Amazing insight, Rico and I apologize I missed your comment. My email notifications are not working and I have been immersed in my art room with paints. I know I should give equal time to writing and will TRY harder. Best, SuZ

A friend of mine got really into rock stacking - some of the things he could stack were just so balanced a slight breeze would knock it over. I like the spur of the moment insight into this piece... maybe man is just prone to activity (any activity) for us to properly function.

Thanks, Tim: I always liked to see evidence of men’s handiwork in lonely places. Fences in the outback...old abandoned homesteads where the only thing left standing is the brick chimney and fireplace and flowering plants overgrown where a garden was once groomed. History in objects.....an interesting theme. SuZ

That is growth, but I prefer older architecture with its romantic ambiance. It is lovely to read your work today my friend. Blessings xxoo
