Scream

Scream for all the world to hear Make their drums reverberate and tremble Force them to listen to your silence Those who've stretched your borrowed ear With their incessant whispers They've returned no outlet for your fire For the intense pressure building inside While we, the close few, can see the sparks They burn bright behind those placid eyes And we dread the impending destruction Borne from the embers of its desire The sequence of inevitability That only from the ash will they understand The reason your peaceable hand Is held tight over the truth of your speech And kept away from others hunger for help . Let it be known that you have a voice One that may smell of roses and spring That there is pain caught in your throat Swallowed whole each day by your pride
