Schizophrenia

I wish that I could ease your misery and pain. And take you to where you'll never suffer again. Schizophrenia feels like someone's in your head. And I know there are times that you wished you were dead. For you, the boogeyman is much more than a myth. And sometimes, your demons are all you are left with. A warped reality makes it hard to be strong. For you're not always sure if there's anything wrong. You fall into disdain no matter what you do. And you wonder if God understands; it's not you. Emile, I found your poem because I was searching for Miraj and found his referral to your poem. I am not schizophrenic, but I have a number of conditions that from time to time land me in a psychosis during depression, and I find myself in mental hospitals regularly. I am writing a small light poetry series about that. I understand your son suffers this terrible disease. Your poem is incredible, and I recognize every single line there.... I wish you all the best. Darren.

It's a very sad disease. My dad is 84 now with it still. It ruined his life. Sad for those that get it.

Thanks Andrea, nature can be cruel, my best to your dad... and may I say that I am impressed with your compassionate heart, most people who have had to deal with this sickness in their family tend to be more frustrated than understanding. My son, like your dad continues to suffer with his demons. Emile.

There is such deep understanding in this write. You are perceptive of the workings within the heart and mind of the victim. Great write, Emile. 7.

Emile, I agree with the others below me. I have witnessed this condition first hand.It was nothing I read about( however I did read up on it later). I have close family members that have been diagnosed with this illness. You feel so helpless whenyou can't help your loved one that's suffering this illness. You have capured the mind set really well:-) Alexis 7

Emile, you captured this condition well in your write, sadly it effects so many people in the world. 7 and thanks for visiting my poem, cracked and fragmented, my writing skill changed drastically after a near death experience in 2012 all of a sudden I was a poet not just a writer of words .. I was forever changed

Cleverly written Emile. I'm glad you brought this subject in the light. Wonderful write. I see it touched Miraj. something at least good came out of this challenging illness, my heart goes out to its's victims. A 7 my friend. Who says poets can't help others with their writings. Here is an example of that. Congratulations for making the difference in someones life Emile!!!
