Scars
SCARS
Take a long look,
visualize.
Do you see the scars,
countless as the stars?
As an infant my frame,
was flawless faultless.
But the world had to imprint,
its indelible ink.
Or so I think,
daily on the brink.
Of the Titanic sink,
until the Absolute Power towers.
What is left is evident,
pronounced and eminent.
Now bordering a new season,
I have a handful of reasons.
To relent despite much sand,
down the hourglass already spent.
Yet the voyage seems longer,
with my resolve not growing stronger.
Take a long look,
visualize.
Do you see the scars,
countless as the stars?
