Tiny Sparrow Yellow streak upon breast On the antenna came to rest Classical music on truck radio Stopped a minute Turned his head to and fro This call he did not know Looked me straight in eye Then he flew saying his goodbye

Such a lovely poem Sarah! This is one of my favorite subjects, birds. Such an ancient breed that rely upon God for every meal and shelter. It's no wonder to me that they have prospered for so long through deep time. We could all take a lesson from them. If you get time read my poem 'Three Messengers' and also 'Earth Brothers'. The mark of a good poet is that he/she sees the little things all around us that mean so much that seems to go unnoticed by the bulk of humanity.
