Say It Ain'T So

The start of September We've rounded the bend The sad end to summer Is upon us again How great it would be To have it all year round Would we still appreciate The joys and the sounds Don't even like it when Mr. Sun plays possum Need him each day Makes each day awesome Have always been told Take the good with the bad Prefer lots of good stuff Bad makes me sad The world does it's thing Four times a year So it ain't gonna change In spite of my tears! © Jack Ellison 2013

Living in Canada where summers are short is one of the main reasons I guess! Used to love winter when I was a wee one with snowball fights and road hockey. Now that I'm an old duffer, don't play much road hockey any more! LOL Hugs, Jack xox

Each one here likes a different season... The Penquins like winter... Dragon likes fall because he's really popular for starting bondfires at social events, the Mary River Turtles love summer since they're cold blooded... and I like spring so I can throw off all those blankets, I sit and type under (at my window) after a cold winter... PS The Trolls like Hallowen best since they chose it as their birthday... They party for a week before AND after... Life is a celebration around here.

Though my heart is with Fall, I do love 9pm sunsets as well. So, I'm crying too...nice one! =D

Us Canadian dudes get enough of the chilly stuff. Why we flock to Florida beaches each winter! 78 winters is 77 too many! (don't remember the first year! LOL) Yup... love those gorgeous 9 pm sunsets! Jake

I really really loved this incredible write my dear friend! There is one thing, autumn is my favorite time of the year, I look so forward to the season coming into the fall I can hardly contain myself! You are right, summer is nice, just too hot for my blood, I need the temperature to be in the 60's for me to be comfortable, and autumn brings that! But oh the autumn colors are so beautiful and it also brings the best holiday of the year...Halloween!! Isn't that awesome! Grand write! Great Work!!
