Savoury Flame

SAVOURY FLAME Feel my bow with an arrow; And fill my palm full of roses. Dip my heart into a potion; the doses born of fangs Sit my flame in a lantern; Gas me up, like a neon light, I will burn in colours. There is a spring full of splendour and an autumn beyond fathom. And there is a comfort laying in the linings of my palm; These hands were meant to embrace. There's a joy in the sun and a toil in the rain. And there is a honeysuckle climbing the curl of my vermilion; These mellow lips were meant to kiss. The sun feels a thirst; and the waves will no longer drum against the shore Cuckoo songs will fade and clouds will float away. But this a life forged in a hive Every eye has an apple And this sugary heart was meant to love.
