Saving the Savior
Saving the Savior
Three hundred and sixty five brand new days,
the first of many years without those old wicked ways.
Swimming through the turmoil of what it takes to act right,
not giving into temptation, Oh what a struggle and a fight!
Follow the yellow brick road avoiding the obstacles in your path,
cleansed, clean, and sober, swimming in a Spiritual bath.
Your future becomes reality as new visions are now so clear,
turning the past that haunts you into strength instead of fear.
From yourself you were rescued from a painful lifelong destiny,
this mirror reflecting my Savior smiling back in pure ecstasy.
