Saving Daylight
such was daylight when ignored,
before the night,
then specious copy to the light,
I sent a promissory
to the bite; that from now on and
into night,
I'd save on water, heat and light;
and stealthily with pressured muse,
I learnt to fix yon burnt out fuse,
and from the ginnel, street or entry,
pushed sweet fancy to the plenty
now, with all nature's energetic synergy,
I steal a letter's rainbow imagery,
and, (thus) doft my crimpled, soft sun-hat,
and fur from flying weaving bat, such
which comes to fly, not in bright;
so doth all mankind, love and treasure,
(measure for pleasure)
all daylight saved, and kept from night.
