Sands

A simple life an ordinary life Complicated by a fractured heart Unfinished, barely begun Waiting for the green light Too late for forgiveness to start Mistaken path for a lonely soul Misdirection, the one way to become whole Hot tears can't reclaim the space Kneeling, unflinching, Face Darkness that must be borne Before revealing a countenance of grace Voices echo from far away Beseeching merciful hands As life fades inside itself Grasp a soul slipping under Shifting sands.
