A metaphor for all human efforts, maybe... A poem that is to the point and sharp. Thanks, by the way, for your response to my blog, it was much appreciated. I am learning more about the site every day through the helpfulness of yourself and others.

That last line has power. Your work is unique and it is always good and never pretentious or boring. Thanks, John as always. Gerard.

Excellent, John! Sand doesn't provide much of a lasting foundation. Congratulations on your win with this haiku; I don't know how I missed it earlier. Love, Carolyn
