Sand Lilly

Springing up along country back roads Along the edges of our farm’s fence Never a farmers blessing owed Delicately dressed to mislead Little flower's beauty is immense Independently has little needs Late in fall she wilts and seeds Light soft fragrance bestowed You may know her as a weed

Some of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen are considered weeds by others. Love this, Robb and the profound message it instills. Many congrats on your WIN, Lainie

I haven't seen this wild flower or perhaps a weed. I know the wild tiger lilies grown on the prairie land in North Dakota where I was raised. And of course my gardrn is full of the Oriental beauties and other cultivated lilies. Congratulations on your win. Love, Joyce
