These little grains
that nobody can count
covers so much earth
creating many a mount

Children love it for play
especially by the sea
but in a great desert
water’s rarely found to be

God used sand to tell
what would be Abraham’s seed
a number no man can count
for God alone knows indeed

Next time we see sand
think on it’s worth
how many life’s it touched
through life from birth

Many a story can be told by a grain of sand. Some grains have lasted thousands of years. If told, would we understand. Nice one Gordon, and it's a pleasure to read you, James......

Yes, it's true Gordon ..... But when I think of sand I think of a warm sunshine day by a lovely sandy beach. --- It was a nice poem to read, thanks Gordon. - oxox / / Anne-Lise :)
