Sanctuary
“Sanctuary is a place where serenity resides. Peace awaits to embrace.”
-Quote by poet
With my troubled mind,
Desiring peace to find,
I go to the hallowed place,
Where tranquillity pervades its space.
Distressed souls have walked through its door,
Perplexities and complexities they bore,
Longing to ease the weight,
They have embraced its gate.
Within its walls, I search for light,
A pathway through my night,
Bloom to the shrivelled meadow,
Rescue from the gnawing shadow.
