Same Stripes
With you it’s the same
Only difference is I feel the shame
But I only have myself to blame
That’s how it seems to work this game
My effort comes naturally
Your presence seems forced to me
I see that you can’t just act carefree
I think I have that figured out pretty accurately
You like to wait me out
But you can’t wait yourself
You like to torture me with rules
So it’s just me that ends up looking like a fool
Luck has it, we are similarly vain
Except you’re the only one with something to gain
Whereas I am just going insane
Yet I keep subjecting myself to the pain
