Salem's Ground

Here I stand with my sisters. We call upon the ancient one. Near me, I know. Something will greet us soon. My hands raised to the sky. I cry out to our mother. We invite her into our circle. We ask for blessings upon us. Our sacred ground is ours for a reason. We meet on this full moon's night, to speak to our ancestors. I am happy to be given a family, from the one who blessed us. For we are the ones who weren't destroyed. We shall rise once more.

This is such a liberating, and woman-empowering poem. Love it Tareva. I have three daughters and six granddaughters, so can so relate! Thank you for sharing.
