Sad When Tree Falls
Sad When Tree Falls
A tree once stood there by the mountainside
In a perfect place where God does abide
While He has been waiting for a visitor
Who about self sometimes is not sure.
Tree seemed to stand so straight and tall
Making other ones around to be small
Was majestic and mighty as it can be
And obvious much of this overcame me.
Tree stood all day and through the night
Being a gorgeous and impressive sight
Completely quiet with no sound around
While in the winter snow would abound.
Could I ever be as impressive as it is?
Still there are many things that I miss
As tree continued to grow and grow
Never knowing what had existed below.
Tree stood there calmly and serene
All trees behind it were always green
I still will wonder and emotional get
Being sad when tree fell with deep regret.
