Sad News

(Dedication: To the memory of a great entertainer, comedian and human being -- Robin Williams who made this world a better place; and who went away abruptly.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Oh sad sad day: Read the news flash Of deep dismay, Bruised hanging crash; Ideas of stress, News said sadly. Wounds so depressed Inched painfully; Lost in your pain, Lost in mad swirl; Inner strength slain, A broken world; May love and light Shine your way home. May truth most bright Supply route home; May you find rest, From mortal pains; Slide beyond quest In light again. Let the mists fade With your demise; Now as we wade, Discern things wise. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Lines added: 20 August 2014): Viewed DVD: "What Dreams May Come" To fondly see Devotion sum. And I wonder If you knew then That way yonder Just why and when. Dear depressed soul: May angels plead Your scattered whole And broken reed. Leon Enriquez 13 August 2014 Singapore

Dear Eileen: Thanks. Glad you found some comfort in these lines. Years ago, Robin Williams starred in a deeply spiritual movie on the topic of suicide; "where he played a physician and his wife committed suicide after the death of their two children in an accident. He went down to the deepest part of Purgatory/Hell to look for her soul. He found her in a region called despair where the lost soul was in deep depression, despair and unable to find release from pain and guilt. With love, he managed to bring her back." I think it's called What Dreams May Come. All the best then, Leon.
