Sad Eyes

See those sad eyes That hide in cheer, Sense those soft sighs That linger near. See the plain truth Disguised in lies, Feel a sure proof That never dies. See the real world Beyond the screams, Feel a sad swirl Of tainted dreams. See beyond gall Where harsh pain hides, Know a sure call In humbled pride. See the known fact That seems so sure, Learn to pry tact With motive pure. See beyond sense To poignant feel, Look beyond tense To love that heals. Leon Enriquez 18 April 2015 Singapore
