Sacred Heart
As she opened up the door she slowly walked towards the pew
She thought she'd see more but the people there seemed few
This was the first time she had come never being there before
As for now things seemed glum sitting there she wasn't so sure
But soon the pews began to fill as one after another they came
As the ushers did mill she overheard them talk about the game
By now it seemed more like a crowd as the hour was now near
Then a little baby began crying loud such a great big giant tear
Saying kid that's how I feel, wishing she had just stayed in bed
For what was all the big deal I'd rather be watching T.V. instead
But then as the music did start oh the different voices she heard
As now within her own heart a subtle long missed joy had stirred
Before she knew it He said 'go in peace' and it was time to leave
Feeling a new release, as through the crowd she'd slowly weave
Now already back at her place she still felt something from inside
So touched by His Grace she wondered why before she never tried
