Rushing

Busy busy busy Hurry up let's go Move move move We don't have all day you know! These words, Said everyday by everyone. It doesn't matter how its said It doesn't matter why it's said It doesn't matter where it's said. Everyone is guilty of saying it. And for what. Just to get what they want. Standing behind the counter of a ticket line Hearing the news your mother just died Holding back emotions To finish what's left of your shift. A person walks up Gives no hello Fast fast fast they want their stuff Hurry up let's go they'll shout And when they get what they want They'll turn around with an insult and walk away. Never to know the person who helped them is really in grave pain. Your walking slowly into a building Through security lines. Man walks up behind Seems perfectly fine. Moments pass You're still walking up The once levelheaded man Raises his voice shouting WE DON'T HAVE ALL DAY! Stopping in your tracks you turn to the man Signal for him to pass He'll shove past you Giving you the bird, Not noticing your prosthetic legs Showing past your pants. Always in a hurry A need for everything that is wanted Hurling insults Hurting others Everything something gets in their way. Busy busy busy Move move move Never noticing it's not always about you. They could be in grief, healing from wounds, fighting with loved ones or being abused. One simple word can change a day Try spreading some love once in awhile Instead of spreading hate.

I fully & deeply agree here! Everybody is rush rush rush and for what?! Your life is not that important where you need to SLOW DOWN and simply greet somebody with a simple "Hi". Sometimes, that's all a person needs to make it through their day. That one simple word can change/improve everything. Thank you for this!!
