Running
I am running from the memories.
I have processed enough already
To last a life time.
From a childhood trashed by trauma.
Pieces of trash float with
The muddy waters of emotions.
The perpetrators are running too.
But they can only run so long.
I will out run them in this race.
I will make it to the falls
Where the water sparkles
Crystal clear with my words of truth
In my story forbidden to be spoken.
No-more will these secrets muddy the water.
For this trash belongs to the heartless
Who think the law does not apply to them.
