Rose Hips
Many rose hips dot the green bush
Buds now mostly gone
In the shade of the building's eave
Long for a quiet dawn
In the shadows blown by a breeze
Innocent of chill to come
The childlike rushing doesn't know
Winter will take its sum
The angle of the sun has changed
Nights grow longer and cool
Lazy days invite come and play
While ants store away food
